Greening London at the West London Tree Hub

Greentalk were proud to work with the Heston Action Group in mapping and promoting their Grow Back Greener funded programme to plant trees in a mini forest and within targeted streets in the area.

Heston Action Group applied to the Grow Back Greener Fund to become the West London Tree Hub last spring. We were successful and received funding to implement the objectives based around the agreed plan of action. This included planting trees in our mini-forest and other suitable places in Heston.

Two primary schools ( 150 children ) made visits and completed practical activities including re-potting our saplings into tree bags ready to be taken to final positions.

We are working with the council to further the planting of street trees in identified places, including the planting of spring bulbs in tree pits. De-paving of suitable pavement areas is planned in collaboration with Hounslow Council.
